Panda Logistics was established in April, 1989, beginning with the operation of ocean-shipping freight. The company extended its business to air freight in 1997. Primarily serving China, it has three bases in the United States. Los Angeles, Chicago and Liberty NY. The New York base flies out of Sullivan County International Airport using two PA-31-350 (Chieftan) aircraft which are licensed to fly within the United States and Canada.
